In order to make lasting changes in your life, you have to become a “long-term thinker.” You have to be able to look into the future and know what it is you want to attain and commit to it. Then you have to accept that getting there will take a lot of work in the form of delayed instant gratification, hard decisions and discomfort. Basically; get used to suffering and become really good at it.

I love pain and I welcome it because it means growth. I’m not discouraged by those who don’t immediately accept me because it’s none of my business- it’s their problem. I don’t fall apart when I meet an obstacle, because there’s always a way to transcend those illusions. I’ve learned to tune stupid shit out over the years and it’s paid off. I’ve learned to get as uncomfortable as possible while others are allowing all of their needs to be met and I’ve learned that nothing truly good EVER comes easy. It requires major FOCUS on my part.

For those who desire big changes in life and believe it should just be handed to you, I’m sorry to tell you but you’re wrong. Yo-yo dieting, quick fixes, marrying prince (or princess charming), get rich quick schemes and the like are delusions if you’re not willing to make sacrifices and work your ass off. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

If you’ve ever wondered how the happiest, most successful people in the world got to be where they are today, all you have to know is that they failed too many times to count, they suffered more than anyone else would and they didn’t become hopelessly defeated and give up when things became “too hard”. That is the secret to success. Now get off your ass and do something uncomfortable!
