If you’re planning to set New Year’s Resolutions for 2021, I encourage you to take it a step further and establish personal values as well.

Values lay out a clear path for you to follow.

They come in handy when you’re wandering through life, disoriented, miserable and seemingly incapable of making any decision without losing your shit.

How do you establish values?

Simple. Take some time to think about and list all the things that are most important to you.

Include a few things that you’re currently not so good at, but want to improve on in the future.

Some examples: Health, love, commitment, freedom, discipline, contribution, boldness, authenticity, curiosity and adventure. Google ideas if you need to.

Often when we struggle to make a decision about something or we’re feeling lost, it’s because we’re no longer in alignment with our values or we’ve never taken the time to establish them in the first place.

When you’re clear about what’s most important in life, and you’re unwilling to compromise for any reason, achieving your goals will be practically effortless.

Life becomes easier, your relationships improve and you’ll know what to do in even the toughest situations.
